The book, the poster, the keychain. The full Vol. 2 celebration.
This bundle marks the release of Marco Ovando's The Dolls Vol. 2 photography book with two exclusive extras: an extra-large 18" x 24" poster print featuring exclusive Polaroids from the shoot, and a double-sided acrylic keychain featuring Polaroids of cover girls Aquaria and Vanessa Vanjie.
Two years after his first edition, fashion photographer Marco Ovando returns with The Dolls Vol. 2: over 250 pages of never-before-seen images shot exclusively for this release, featuring the icons of the award-winning cultural phenomenon RuPaul's Drag Race. Ovando has worked extensively with the artists of the groundbreaking international tours Werq the World, Drive 'N Drag, Night of the Living Drag and beyond, where staff and crew call the talent "the queens" but the girls themselves use a different moniker: "the dolls."
In a fashion photography career spanning 30 years, Ovando has been at the forefront of capturing the glamour of the drag world since the very first season of RuPaul's Drag Race. The Dolls is a collaboration with Brandon Voss of Voss Events, producer of Werq the World, Drive 'N Drag, Night of the Living Drag and RuPaul's Drag Race Live! Las Vegas.
Split into four sections, the book opens with studio and on-set portraits including cover doll Aquaria (Season 10), Yvie Oddly (Season 11), Jaida Essence Hall (Season 12), Violet Chachki (Season 7) and Season 15 winner Sasha Colby. "The Shows" and "The BTS" share exclusive photos from the tours and the Las Vegas residency, and "The Parties" captures the dolls as guests at premier events like the Met Gala and as the featured entertainment at parties around the world.
